Design Your Website

First of all you will need to decide how you are going to build your website. There are a number of ways you can do this.

Use a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) This is software similar to MS Word, you can type and apply fonts etc. just as you would in Word.

Use pre-designed templates that hosting providers normally include in your hosting package. This option can be quite quick and easy but is not very flexible.

Use a Content Management System (CMS) This is software that runs on your server. Examples are WordPress used for blogging and Joomla which is better for big websites. CMSs allow you to use many free website templates and plugins or extensions that other pleople have made. You don't need any programming knowledge. You can create the menus and pages very easily in the "back end"
